Every company, every project has its individual appearance - from the logo to the corporate design to the website. That's why we believe that the style of your explainer video should fit as well as possible into your overall appearance. Due to the multitude of requirements and needs, there are also very different styles and possibilities to create your explainer video. Here is a short overview of possible and popular video styles:
- Hybrid: Explainer video was yesterday, today there is hybrid! Put your explainer video on a much more real and credible foundation: by using real footage and real people, your video looks more authentic and much more modern. The whole thing is garnished with smart infographics and typography. Check out a sample HERE.
- Stopmotion: It can also be tricky - with an explanatory video that is produced using stop trick or stop motion. Here, objects are moved by hand, frame by frame. Usually combined with an animation, the result is an attention-grabbing video that is second to none. HERE you can see the video.
- Typo: You can really step on the gas with this style. Dots follow letters; exclamation points follow question marks. The viewer follows the rousing story in a flowing plot, which is characterized by fast typo/text fade-ins. Especially suitable for brands and products whose texts speak for themselves or which have to or want to do without a speaker... like HERE in this example.
- Real-Mix: Animated characters conquer our real world - this is a very hot trend. We have tracked this down and already implemented it in several projects. Animated characters are inserted into realistic visuals and animated. An absolute eye-catcher.
- 2-D character: Telling a good story from the perspective of a character - that's possible with this style. It doesn't necessarily have to be a human being at the center - we have already invented various characters: from a drop of blood that has come to life for the topic of blood donation to a poor eye for digital visual aids. There are no limits to the imagination here.
- Linear: You may remember the uncolored drawings from your first coloring book? In the meantime, however, the linear style has evolved; the colorless component is no longer decisive by definition. In explainer videos, the linear style is often used to tell stories in a very reduced but all the more elegant mix of lines, colors, shading and unique perspectives.

As it is also called explanatory film, explanatory video, explainer video or somewhat sarcastically explanatory bear video - generally it is about a video format, in which between usually 60-120 seconds an idea, a product, a process or a project should be explained clearly and understandably. However, the focus should be more on WHAT and WHY - less on HOW. Because an explainer video is not a how-to video - which gives concrete and detailed instructions for action. This is an often prevalent misunderstanding.
Our explainer video prices generally depend on a whole range of factors: Complexity of the brief, scope of concept, length of the video, design/animation style, coordination process, intended use, scope of adaptations, social media versions, etc. We'll be happy to provide you with a transparent, customized quote with a clearly defined scope of services and a fixed price that you can stick with. And: asking costs nothing at first!
We know how hard it is to focus on the most important things when creating an explainer video. But that's exactly our job. We help you filter out the essence of your topic and bring it into a crisp 60 to 90 seconds maximum. Anything longer usually turns into an instruction manual and is not the job of a good explainer. Here it is primarily about the WHAT and the WHY, less about the HOW exactly - for this, a crisp 60-90 seconds should be enough, which everyone then also watches to the end.
