On the occasion of its 20th anniversary
, the Cologne-based aid organization commissioned us.

"Imagine you're afraid to come home ...", that's exactly what
describes quite well what thousands of children and young people in Germany
are going through.

‍
Because so-called "problem parents" are waiting in their homes, who are often no longer able to lead a regular life due to
addiction and often turn their
own children into victims of violence and abuse.

‍
This is where the Cologne-based KidKit facility comes in, offering children and young people an
uncomplicated and unbureaucratic help service. By mail or chat,
they can contact the counseling center directly and receive attention and help from volunteer
psychologists and social workers. And this is now already
in its 20th year of existence.

problem:

Unfortunately, many kids and young people are not aware of the KidKit offer
. The non-profit organization therefore commissioned us to create a small
campaign with animated videos and posters.

‍

In an iterative process with the psychologist Anna Buning and affected
young people, a concept was created in which fear and the feeling of
powerlessness in one's own home are staged.

‍
The dark illustration style, reminiscent of video games, and the very fluid
single frame animations create a dense atmosphere with which you can quickly
identify.

‍
The 45-second spot will be shown on TV thanks to sponsorship by RTL2,
the poster will be used primarily on Cologne public transport.
