On the occasion of its 20th anniversary
the Cologne-based aid organization commissioned us.

"Imagine you're afraid to come home ..." is exactly how
describes quite well what thousands of children and young people in Germany
are going through.

‍
Because waiting in their homes are so-called "problem parents" who are often no longer able to lead a regulated life due to
addiction and often make their
own children victims of violence and abuse.

‍
This is where the Cologne-based KidKit facility comes in, offering children and young people an
uncomplicated and unbureaucratic help service. By mail or chat,
they can contact the counseling center directly and receive attention and help from volunteer
psychologists and social workers. And this is now already
in its 20th year of existence.

problem:

Unfortunately, many kids and teenagers don't know about KidKit's offer
. Therefore, the non-profit association commissioned us to create a
small campaign with animated videos and poster.

‍

In an iterative process with the psychologist Anna Buning and affected
young people, a concept was developed in which above all the fear and the feeling of
powerlessness in one's own home are staged.

‍
The gloomy illustration style reminiscent of videogames and the very fluid
single-frame animation create a dense atmosphere with which you can quickly identify
.

‍
The 45-second spot will be shown on TV thanks to sponsorship by RTL2,
the poster will be used primarily on Cologne public transport.
